Lisa's favorite activity all week long was to just sit on the back deck and read.
The cabin was set well off the road in a thick stand of very tall Aspens.
The back side of the cabin.
Sunrise near the cabin.
One afternoon we drove to Park City to ride the zip line and the alpine slide. This is the zip line. You can see some of our group near the top on their way down.
This is about the half way point where the riders start to slow down. On the upper half you can reach speeds of 50 MPH or more depending on your weight and the harness you get. A bad harness can leave you short of the finish.
BAD HARNESS - Steve got stuck about 30 feet short of the platform at the finish. He had to rock back and forth to get all the way in. This was a very disappointing ride for him.
The second half of our group.
There was a wedding up on the mountain. When the ceremony was done the guests all rode down the Alpine Slide. I was waiting to get a shot of my two kids when the bride in her gown came flying down the mountain with a big smile on her face.
Jessica enjoying the ride and her lead over her brother Sean.
And here comes Sean trying to catch Jessica.
This was shot near the cabin we were staying in. This is looking towards Park City, which is just over the 4th ridge. The haze is from fires around the western states.
This is the front of the cabin just as the sun is setting.
One of the things we enjoy is long ATV rides. We are headed back on this road through the mountain meadows.
This is the trail back to the cabin. It is very steep on both sides and crosses a stream at the bottom. The cabin is at the top right just out of the picture back in the trees.
This is the same trail dropping down to the stream. This gives a better perspective of just how steep it really is. You have to move as slow as you can to maintain control but you can't come to a stop. If you do gravity will pull you down out of control. This part of the trail is always a little stressful, but fun.
On another ATV ride we found several large snow drifts that hadn't melted in the summer heat. Sean thought he could slide down standing up. He almost made it.
We took a joy ride that wasn't a joy for some. Logan and Kristen had four wheel drive, but their tires where street tires and the clearance of their Honda CRV was not enough for this washed out road. They eventually made it.
