Timp Hike - 8-2011
We planned on hiking Timpanogos at night with a full moon and the weather cooperated. I was tired from camping all week prior but really wanted to go because I had heard there was so much snow on the back side of Timp. I've hiked it many times but there has been little to no snow every time I've gone in August. It was truly one of the best Timp hikes I've had to date. We didn't go all the way to the summit, but did 14.2 miles of the 16 catching sunrise from the saddle looking over Utah Valley. A few times the snow was a little scary to cross in the dark, but there were so many people on the mountain with us that we just kept following those ahead of us. I'm glad we did.
